Linux Shell Scripting Tutorial A Beginner’s handbook
Most of the other tutorials on Linux shell scripting are either too basic or skip too many important intermediate steps. The concept of this tutorial is to maintain a balance between these two. It covers many of the real life examples of shell scripting that are missing from many other tutorials.

The Ultimate Marketing Strategy
In a recent marketing campaign in Vancouver, 3M sought a strong image for their security glass. They modified a bus shelter and fitted their security glass and filled it with REAL BANKNOTES. Many have tried to gain access with golf clubs and baseball bats but obviously the glass remains intact! This is what you call having faith in your own product...

Pluto loses status as a planet

About 2,500 astronomers and experts who meet today in Prague the Czech capital for the International Astronomical Union’s (IAU) general assembly have voted to strip Pluto of its status as a planet.
Pluto had been considered a planet since its discovery in 1930 by the American Clyde Tombaugh. So to now have pluto effectively airbrushed out of school and university textbooks is something that I think is quite unreal as there always used to been nine planets!
The astronomers at the IAU meeting voted by raising their yellow ballot papers for a count. And then after counting the votes the IAU resolution announced “The eight planets are Mercury, Earth, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune”

Google launches free,online word-processor : Writely

Google has re-launched Writely, the online word-processor they recently bought, in public beta. Access to Writely is now free for everyone. Just sign up for an account. Writely does most things Word does, for free — and saves its output as PDFs and even RSS feeds (subscribe to a word-processor doc!). It features collaborative editing — multiple editors on the same doc at once — and can be used as the editor for writing your blog, saving out to a post instead of a file on your machine. This is a great-looking program for people who have always-on Internet, and for so long as you don’t worry about the NSA demanding that Google turn over its Writely files as part of some “security” procedure. Also: if I were a Google China user, I’d have some doubts about this, given that Google has shown that when it comes to China, keeping the government happy is more important than delivering the best product it can.
GO and Get It here : www.writely.com
What Writely can do:
Create new documents from scratch, upload them from most popular file formats (including Word), or e-mail them into Writely in batches.
Organize your documents by tags, or click to star the important ones. You can see at a glance who last edited a document and when.
Download your documents in batches for safe-keeping (in HTML), or save them individually in PDF, RTF, ODT or Word format.
Just click the toolbar buttons to bold, underline, change the font, make bulleted lists, indent and more.
You can add colors, insert tables, links, images, comments and more. There’s even an option to edit the document HTML, if you want that much control.
Offsite storage plus data backup every 10 seconds makes hard drive failures and power outages no longer an issue.
Pick exactly who can access your documents.

Firefox Owns ie7.com

This is pretty funny, mostly because I loath Internet Exploder Explorer.
Firefox has purchased the url ie7.com, so when you go to the site all you see is a big Firefox logo. Microsoft is still developing Internet Explorer 7, and it looks like our friends at Firefox grabbed the url first.I’d like to see a download Firefox button right on the page with the logo.
